The Miribani Fish Plant owned and operated by Mirabani Japan Industries was a large site comprised of two and a half acres on Victoria’s Inner Harbor. In the mid 1980’s Miribani  Industries decided to close down the fish plant and offer the site for sale. Stan Sipos was able to negotiate a purchase of the site which then required a comprehensive rezoning process to allow for a mixed use commercial and residential development. Following a very challenging civic and community process, approval was granted by the City of Victoria for the new zoning use which allowed mixed use residential, tourist, and marina uses . The approved project was then sold to a local pension fund development company.
