Gateway Village
Gateway Village is an open-air commercial office center with extensive landscaping and high exposure directly across Vernon Avenue from the Municipality of Saanich City Hall. Located just north of Saanich Plaza and Save-On Foods, Gateway Village is situated between two high traffic thoroughfares linking the Saanich Peninsula with downtown Victoria. The centre is easily accessible from both the north and southbound directions and has an abundance of surface-level and covered parking for customers and clients. Instantly recognizable for its iconic clock tower, this locally owned complex is anchored by a 17,000 square foot building housing the HSBC Bank Canada and features a variety of office tenants, service providers and restaurants. The site comprising five acres was purchased by Stan Sipos from the BANK National DE Paris in the mid 80’s, the development was completed in 1987 and has served as the gateway to Victoria since completion.
